Conversion Rate Mastery: Hidden Shortcut to More Motivated Seller Leads

Why does conversion rate matter so much? 

Because of this formula:

Cost per Click (CPC) x Conversion Rate (CVR) = Cost per Lead (CPL).

In simple terms, CPC is the average amount you pay each time your ad is clicked.

CVR is the percentage of clicks that convert into leads.

So if you pay $25 CPC and have a 10% CVR, your CPL is $25 * 10% = $250.

But if you pay $25 CPC and have a 25% CVR, your CPL is $25 * 25% = $100.

As your CVR rises, your CPL decreases. And lower CPL means more leads from the same amount of clicks. 

You have little control over CPC—it depends largely on the ad platforms’ click price thresholds and on your competitors’ bids.
